Pedagogy Afterschool care

Bambini offers a stimulating pedagogical climate in a homely atmosphere, in which space for both group education and individual development of children is paramount. The overtone for all this is that the pedagogical employees have fun with children, are enthusiastic and innovative. In short: we are having fun in the work.

Except for the daily care of the children, the environment offers an incentive to develop in all physical, social-emotional, creative, linguistic and intellectual respects. Moreover, Bambini offers a climate where children become aware of social norms, in particular norms in which the individuality of everyone’s cultural background is respected.

As children, parents and employees from all kinds of cultures should be able to feel at home in the daycare, they also should all be able to recognize themselves at least partly in the style and setting of the daycare center and in the wide range of play and activities.

OUR PEDAGOGICAL PRINCIPLES ARE

1. 1. Our pedagogical staff approaches children in a positive way, and builds a good relationship with them, while remaining consistent in their actions.
2. 2. Children and employees from different backgrounds can recognize themselves in our supply of games and activities.
3. 3. Our pedagogical employees work together with each other and with the parents in a constructive way.

Parenting goals for BSO

Based on the four parenting goals, we will describe how we do this.

The four parenting goals of the afterschool care are:

1. 1. Providing children with emotional safety and security
2. 2. Stimulating a child’s personal development
3. 3. Stimulating a child’s social development
4. 4. Communicating values and norms to a child.

How the pw should act is described in the interaction skills (what do you do, what do you say, how do you say it).
